Try to be as active as possible: move your body!

One of the keys to staying healthy is to make sure that you are getting enough exercise. This is something that a lot of people struggle with, largely because there is so much bad information when it comes to exercise. There seem s to be this belief that you have to spend hours at the gym to benefit from exercise, this is completely untrue.

It is actually a lot easier to make sure that you are getting enough exercise than most people realize. Certainly you can get results by going to the gym and working out but this is not actually a requirement. There are plenty of other things that you can do that allow you to exercise. Since most of these are going to be a lot more enjoyable than simply going to the gym and working out it is far more likely that you will stick to them.

Most people find that they most enjoyable way to get their exercise is to play a sport. Almost all sports require a great deal of physical movement on your part so they will certainly ensure that you are getting lots of exercise. Really you can benefit from almost any sport but you will get the most out of the sports that require a lot of physical activity. Soccer requires a lot more running on your part than say baseball so you will get more exercise that way. That being said if you enjoy playing baseball then by all means use that as your form of exercise.

There are plenty of other ways that you can get exercise, dancing is one option that a lot of people enjoy. You can also do things like walking or running. The key thing is to find something that you enjoy doing that will get your heart rate elevated. As long as you do this you will going a long way to staying healthy. You can even incorporate exercise into your daily life by doing things like taking the stairs at work instead of the elevator.

The key to staying healthy is to find some means of getting exercise that you are going to stick with. This is the reason that so many people fail with it, they have been taught that they have to perform a certain workout routine. The problem is that they hate that routine so they just stop doing it, the result is that they end up not getting any exercise at all. You are actually better off doing a variety of different exercises rather than sticking to a routine anyway. Over time your body gets used to doing an exercise if you do it over and over again. You will get far better results if you are constantly doing something different. This is why you don’t need to worry about following a specific routine, just do what you enjoy.
